Current and Upcoming Exhibitions
Members of the Syracuse Camera Club regularly exhibit at local and regional venues like the Delavan Art Gallery, the Syracuse Technology Garden
(The Tech Garden), the Warehouse Gallery, the
OCPL Central Library, the Liverpool Library, and other art spaces. An
asterisk (*) after the venue indicates wheelchair accessible, otherwise
call for accessibility details.
Exhibitions - 2011
Syracuse Camera Club Members:
- Bob Gates will feature four
prints at the
Syracuse Stage* in the Coyne Lobby. The exhibit is running
concurrently with the Rent show and starts on
January 18th and runs to February 13, 2011. An opening reception
will be held on January 20, 2011 from 6:30pm - 7:30 pm.
- Diane Lansing will feature the
print Come Slither... at the juried photography exhibit
Coming of Age to held at the
Kirkland Art Center in Clinton, NY. The
exhibit starts on January 23rd and runs to mid-March. An opening
reception will be held on January 23rd from 3pm - 5pm.
- Sherry Dans will feature prints
during the Showcase of Cortland Art exhibit presented by
The Cultural
Council of Cortland County to be held at the
The Tech
Garden* in Syracuse. The exhibit starts February 1st and runs
through April. An
opening will be held on February
9th from 5pm - 7pm.
- The
Last Transfer project by Bob Gates will see the
light of day in grand fashion:
- An article in the Connective Corridor
newsletter describes this significant project of the last
days of the bus transfer station in downtown Syracuse.
- There will be a print
exhibition and artist's talk October 18th from 7pm to 10pm
as part of the Humanities Center's annual Syracuse Symposium.
The lecture will be in the Gifford Auditorium, with a reception
to follow in the Panasci lounge where the exhibit will be
installed.
- The work is also on display in two of the
three Connective Corridor buses from now until mid-October.
- There will be a video slide show projection
of a large selection of the images by the
Urban Video Project at the Everson Plaza in downtown
Syracuse on Mon-Wed October 10-12 and 17-19 from dusk until
11:00 pm.
Notable Events:
- Niagara Frontier Regional Camera Clubs (NFRCC)
50th
Annual NFRCC Convention to be held February 25-27 at the Niagara
Falls Conference Center.
- Syracuse Camera Club 2nd Annual Exhibit and
Fundraiser to be held at
May Memorial
Unitarian Universalist Society*. The SCC members will
offer cards, framed and matted prints to be sold with proceeds
benefiting the SCC general fund and MMUUS. The exhibit starts April
3rd and runs through April. An opening reception will be held at
MMUUS on Wednesday April 13th from 6:30pm - 9pm. See the flyer for
